Local Residents Offered Recycled Spectacles

Over the past 6 years, Kidshelp Cambodia – England has collected used spectacles and with support of DHL Express in United Kingdom, shipped over 9,000 pairs of spectacles to Cambodia. Over the years, spectacles have mostly been sent to Khmer Sight Foundation (KSF) who have over the six years of working with Kidshelp, supported the people of our village with over 116 cataract surgeries, of which 96 were in the last 3 years. As KSF goes through a restructuring, we took the opportunity to revert to the old-fashioned way of recycling spectacles. In June 2024, we sent a box with more than 700 pairs of spectacles direct to Khemara Kidshelp School. These were added to around 200 pairs that had been delivered during the annual January 2024 visit by the team from Germany and England.  Kidshelp Country Director, Khath Khemara, invited people from our village to come and spend a few hours seeing if there were glasses that fitted and provided improvement to their vision.

IT MIGHT BE OLD FASHIONED WAY BUT LOOK AT THE HAPPY FACES!!
